steering problem...

so about a week ago i noticed if i turned the steering wheel right during a turn, it would be fine, but when the wheel went back to neutral (wheels straight) about a quarter turn off of neutral the steering wheel would stick a little bit. i didnt think too much of it at the time. well its been a week now and the problem has definately gotten worse. the steering wheel gets stuck at several spots when re-centering after a right turn, including being very stiff at the neutral position(wheels straight). when i wiggle the wheel a little back and forth it seems to help loosen the steering wheel up again, and it will be fine until i turn right again. anyone had this problem? my truck has about 156,000 miles on it.

check your ball joints, make sure the rubber boots are intact. If one did get busted and the grease all leaked out, it could be seized up.
