Line-X
|
I've had both and Rhino couldnt even hold a candle to Line-X. In my experience the Line-X was WAY better looking, and stronger. I've scratched the Rhino completely to metal. I've done some stupid things on my Line-X like drag lumber out of the back with a nail pointing downward toward the bed, it lets a hardly noticible scratch that disappeared after a car wash.
Maybe Rhino is alot better now but I cant possibly imagine a product better then my Line-X have now.... |
Concerning materials, I don't really know which is better. I bought my truck used and mine came with a spray in. I assume it was Rhino. I've been happy with it-especially since I did not have to pay for it. It is over the rail, which I like too.
2 coworkers have the Line-X on their trucks and I don't think it looks as professional as mine. The place that did it for them would not go over the rail either. As far as looks go, I think a big part of it is going to do with who puts in on. Some places will do better work than others. The place that my coworkers went to is not a good place IMO, and I won't get into that. Another thing I noticed about their liners was the place that did it stuck the "Line-X" logo in the liner. If you get a Line-X or even another brand and don't want something like that, make sure to tell them up front. It may not matter to you. It would bother me. |
I have LineX on my Ford and no complaints... other than some fading from the sun, but it has held up quite well with bricks, stone, heavy lumber, etc...
|
I think the actual products are very similar. What I would be more concerned with is the workmanship. Most problems I've seen with linings come from poor workmanship like poorly prepped or cleaned surfaces, poor coverage and the such. Checkout the shops that do it.
Here in Hawaii we have Lavalining which is Line-X material I believe. The actual lining is fine, the workmanship sucks. |
