Some pics of Line-X and Skid Plate.
I had may bed sprayed with Line-X recently and I also put on a Toyota skid plate. I know it doesn't offer much protection, but it looks good.
I had them spray the liner on the top of the rail. I didn't want them coming down the side of the bed. http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkP...17a0236a&size= http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkP...4dc252dd&size= http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkP...4eb95f3d&size= http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkP...7f5a6084&size= |

Top job mate! |

Looking nice!!

Thanks! I guess I'm pretty much done with the mods for now.

linex is soo sweet :)
Definitely makes the tacoma look much better w/ that skid there!! |
What are the differences in Line-X and Rhino Lining? I have been lookin into gettin the sides of my rear bumper lined with something to protect the chrome until I can get my aftermarket rear bumper.
Whatever is cheap and will last a good few years would be awesome! I may also get the body panels on the bottom of the driver and passenger side front doors to protect the paint. Thanks guys, Fink:devil: |
If it's only temporary, I would get the do it yourself stuff. In my opinion Line-X is better than Rhino, but some peole like Rhino better.
The difference between the two is that Line-x is more dense and not as fluffy. It is also supposed to be stronger and more resistant to cuts and gouges. It's definitley very grippy. |

If you don't mind me asking, how much did it all cost?
The thing is, I don't know how long its gonna be til I get the new bumper...I will end up getting an ARB/TJM for the front before the rear so its gonna be a good while. Thanks for the info/advice, Fink:devil: |
Looks great. I got my bed line-x'ed a couple of weeks ago and it looks awesome! Way better then any drop in liner. Over the rail is the way to go. :D After tax, I paid $399 for mine, which was the cheapest I could find in the Denver Area. Most places wanted $500.
btw, where did you get that skid plate? Is it from a 4Runner? |
Thats not too bad, Rhino lining was $435 for my dads 8 foot bed on his Chevy...

line-x
looks good. i get mined line-x on thurs. i want them to come over the lip of the tailgate alittle more than on yours. i had the factory bedliner, which rub and scratched the paint- i need to hide it with the line-x!

yeah, they can dent easy, but then again they can be straightened out easily too. i know both from experience. but i'll say it does look pretty good on there right now, esp for how you're gonna use your taco. and the line-x is a step up too. :bigok: |
