Keep this in mind. The 4Runners I tested were built very differently from one another, so although I offer my opinions, this isn't an exact comparison. For my money, if I didn't want to do a lot of off-road travel, I'd go with the simpler, and cheaper OME setup.
You won't have to do any modifications to your vehicle if you get the OMEs. You could do the diff-drop mod, but from what I learned from friends, the OMEs begin to sag in the front after a few months, especially after some hard use.

Guess it is personal preference after all, but the king has spoken.

My Bils go on next week finally and I just went with factory springs since I the shocks will be stiff enough. I'll probably go with the Cornfed spacers when I want a couple inches of lift but that'll be later.

Rancho is the best shock absorber. This 9-position front shock provides superior performance to the lifted. It has 70-millimeter (2.75-inch) diameter to carry more fluid for a more cooling operation in extreme heating conditions.it is a Nitrogen gas charged shock absorber, you will have an optimized performance from your automobile’s suspension system in harsh off-road conditions.
It weighs around 8.35 lbs and has dimensions of 24.5 x 3.3 x 3 inches.

Shockabsorbers05 you have dug this out of the Wayback files, and I have a hard time believing Rancho is the smoothest ride on Stock Spring height like the OP from 2004 requested, And I'm not sure if your aware but SSchaefer3 Aka the king Aka Sonoran Steel Fabrication LLC has seen and redesigned more 4Runners suspension components than most Toyota Dealerships and the Toyota racing team. Bilstein has also now redesigned there 5100 series for stock 4Runners aswell although you end up with 1" lift in the rear and an adjustable front shock, but I regress as I have never even looked at Rancho or heard anything good about them. http://www.sonoransteel.com
