Simple deckplate question.
Just wanted to know, should my deckplate have come with a rubber gasket? It looks like there's a groove for one and i just thought it was odd that it didnt come with a big o-ring. *edit, more specifically i meant a gasket for between the cap and the deckplate (not between the deckplate and the airbox)

The way the deckplate works, it makes a pretty dern tight seal on its own. I've been on sailboats in rough weather and I've never seen them leak, unless they weren't locked in all the way. In regards to what we're talking about sealing up for offroad reasons, I wouldn't worry about it for a second. |
ok thanks for the feedback...sounds good to me

Mine came with one. I dont think you would ever need it tho

Nope, but you can fill that groove with a generous amount of sensor-safe RTV sealant before installing it.

Yep
Mine came with one. I dont see ever putting the cover back on unless your ass starts to get wet.
