X, as you can see from the pictures already posted, that's what it looks like. Here's one currently for sale on ebay too:

I just saw that one, I asked how it wires up so the mirror comes down.

Thanks, I certainly didn't buy my 4Runner for the fuel economy though! My DD is a Honda Accord.

Let me know!! I don't know if its a button or wired to reverse lights. Any info you could find will be useful. It is going to require new holes in tailgate as the the mounts are much bigger than the deflector spoiler holes and in the diff. location!
If you bid and and win maybe between us we could figure all this out.

The guy doesn't go into any detail on what to do. I asked if it automatically retracts and he had no response. I thought you could wire it to the reverse lights if it will retract or if you need a switch and he said it should work either way so I'm not too sure how to wire it.

Excellent find and they are not that big trust me. There are bigger ones to be had over here in Japan - those are just OEM, yet very sweet in the rain and snow.

thanks terminator and others for exposing me to JDM stuff

I just don't get the point of the mirror that flips down from the rear wing, does it not end up reflecting back at your own vehicle?

I see that it is wide angled- I just don't get the purpose.

Not trying to be difficult, I just don't understand what it would show you that the other mirrors do not already indicate....

I am having my own rear window deflector painted white for a semi-custom touch, my Runner never had one mounted- so I am learning all about these rear window deflectors. Nice to see a different look.

Very simply, it aids reversing.

Plus you can see what's directly behind the tailgate be it a bike or a toddler or your little low riding sports car that's parked too close to see! Hate to run over that stuff, most people wouldn't need it but have seen many a driver that could definitely benefit from having one.

I get it. Similar idea to the wide angled mirrors the postal service mounts at an angle to show the back end of their Jeep like looking trucklets.

I am a little slow on the uptake, thanks Terminator also.

Yeah, CDuff (I think that's his username) has some for sale on eBay. Highly considering them too.

Ya those definitely aren't the biggest vent visors out there. I think they look cool. The more common Japanese ones are huge, like 3-4 times the size, huge! As far as asian stuff, I have a hood mounted mirror that I bought over there for my next vehicle. As it turned out, I got a Toyota Previa, and with its funny steep little hood, it is not usable. Anybody interested in a hood mounted mirror? They are perticularily handy for parallel parking I guess. Its pretty much standard in Asia, and they look pimp!

Oh ya, as far as wiring the reverse mirror, you could do it either way. You could just hook it up to your reverse light, so when your reverse light goes on, it gets power. Or you could hook it up to a switch.

Good score, personally I think it'll look cool on your truck, besides, if you want vent visors, the regular sticker vent visors are just craps anyways IMO unless its in-channel.

If no one in this thread would like it, post it up for sale in the "Classifieds" section. I've seen quite a few requests pop up here and there from guys looking to buy that very part.
