So I am out doing lot tours here at work and check on one of our business offices/apartment buildings across the campus. I get all done and come out to find one of the tenants leaving. He stops and has a question for me. Asks me what year my rig is. Told him it is a 91 and he told me he had something he bought for his former rig (1991 Toyota 4runner) but never installed. I was stoked being I was going to get something brand new for FREE. He came down and its a brand new still in the box Fram fuel filter. I offered to give him a few bucks but he refused. I just changed mine about 4K ago so I guess i will just hold onto it for my next service. sweet deal though huh. Anyone hook up with FREEBYS lately?

Hey I got a couple of rims for free so i can mount them to the used 39.5's I bought for my son's bed. and a new talgate handle. Got a power tank for half price.
oh and have not got it yet but my dentist is going to give me free whitening for being their guine pig, it's normally about $450.

I am always on the lookout of freebies, although I usually get junk like broken lawn mowers and old computers, but I like to piece things together and make them work. I like to check the free section on www.craigslist.org frequently. There is a lot of junk, but every now and then someone gives away something worth getting, like snowmobiles or motorcycles that need a little work. Someone even gave away a 1984 Toyota 4x4! I would have gotten it, but someone beat me to it. If anyone wants a free lifted golf cart that needs a lot of work, let me know because I need to get rid of one.

i was looking to replace missing items on my new truck, screw covers, rear seat belt moulding, door trim clips etc. i was looking for the cargo cover, priced it out at the dealer and damned near had a heart attack. they wanted almost $900 for this thing! so, im in picking up some small parts and the service guy asks me if im the guy that wanted the cargo cover. i said i am, but not at the price i was quoted. he says, how about a really, really, really good price. im thinking, ok probably $100-200, he reaches behing a door and pulls out this cover and hands it to me and says 'no charge'. i can feel the tightening in my chest starting again. turns out, a customer had purchased a runner with the cover, they were dog breeders and had the rear seat down all the time. the cover spent its life in the corner of their garage. they traded the runner in on a highlander and the cover was just taking up space so they brought it in with the highlander for a service appointment and asked if the dealer knew anyone who might need one. sometimes the stealers do look out for you.

Lol...cause of you guys and Transtec stating that on every rebuild the shift solenoids should be replaced on the A-340 tranny...I got two free shift solenoids when I got my tranny done a little while ago. Thanks guys!

One of the directors here at work drives a Mazda Miata, I used to street race mine till I got side swiped and killed it, "1997 M-edition with a Jackson Racing super charger etc” well last week he pulled into the parking garage in a 2005 Mazda speed MX5 Turbo Miata, he finally go one, he’s been on the waiting list. Anyway I asked him what did you do with your old Miata, he said oh I traded it in, they gave me $100 I said WHOA... call them now, write them a check for the $100 and I will make your fist payment on the new car! He agreed, the "old Miata" is an early 90s but get this, he had the dealer install a 0 mile new engine last year 45,000 miles ago, AND a 0 mile transmission this was over $5500 and I have the papers to prove it!!!! It also has a new radiator, 4 new calipers and rotors, a new heater core and a full new exhaust system including the cat American Racing 15" wheels with almost new tires!!!!!! Now it does need a top and the clear coat is peeling and the suspension needs new bushings and a shock/spring upgrade but for $500 you cant turn a score like that down! The right place at the RIGHT time I guess or there really are lazy WAY over paid people out there wish I was one of em !!
