Replacing Fuel Filter in 94 Runner

I have a 1994 3.0L 4x4 4runner. Does anyone know if the fuel pump is located in the gas tank? If so, how difficult is it to drop the tank and to replace the pump? I am moderately mechanically inclined ans patient enough to try a DIY job. Will there be any hard gas lines to disconnect?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Sorry, the title of this thread should read fuel pump, not fuel filter.

On my 91 there is an access panel under the rear passenger side seat. I believe this is for accessing the fuel pump.

The access panel on my 93 is only for the wiring. The pump is in the tank, and it has to be dropped. I've never done it but looking at the manual it doesn't seem to difficult.
One hint the tank is lighter when it's empty. :)
