Quick Time Electric Cut Out and Catconverter ??'s

Ok I imporved my intake with the Elbow and ISR mod(Deck plate soon to come).Exhaust will be a spintech muffler and QTEC
www.quicktimeperformance.com/qtec.htm

Question # 1:Has anybody heard of this I found this on Tundrasolutions.com and was wondering if anyone has tried it. Basically you put this befor or after the first cat converter and from the flip of a swicth you can have open headers .

Question # 2:Can I remove the first cat converter and put the QTEC in it's place. I konw my 98 4Runner has one cat converter next to the muffler and is a lot faster off the line than my 2003 Tundra 3.4. and if it can be done where do I put the O2 sensors.

Zach-

If you do a search on running without a cat, you will find the majority of the folks recommending against it. Not sure about Gaum, but here in the states its a Federal Offense, a noise violation, and a health hazard to you and others.

With that said, yes, in theory this would work. Problem is that the O2 Sensor (one of em anyway) is located after the cat. So, you would have to rig up something that "fooled" the signal from the O2 sensor, thus avoiding a CEL.

The product is a cool idea for avid racers. Keep in mind, your low end torque will go down the crapper if you get it to work.

What about high flow catalytic converters is this another option for me. Also how would I install one since replacing a properly working cat is illegal. What is a good story to make up so I can replace it And my 98 4Runner only has one cat so why can't my 03 Tundra have only one.
