Powder Coating Cost Question
I was wondering if anyone knows what the approximate going rate for powder coating a set of wheels would be. Just got a set of FZJ80 wheels and wanting to get them powder coating black.
Thanks

I just dropped some aluminum suspension pieces off at a powdercoater today. They have a $75 minimum shop fee - in my case that includes cleaning, oxide blasting and the actual powdercoat. Prices will probably vary greatly by area.

I bought a Manik Brush guard that was beat to hell, took it in to be sandblasted and powdercoated for just under $200. Probably doesnt help, just thought I'd throw that out there. But, I did call around a few shops and the prices did vary. If I were you I'd to a internet search or look in your local phone book and call around for prices.

I've seen prices ranging from lows around $25 - $40 per wheel (via friends / hookups) up to circa $80 per wheel - all for a single coat. If you add a second clear coat on top of that, count on about 25 - 50% more.
