parking brake

Anyone ever have the parking brake warning light stay on in their Tacoma?

I can push the parking brake lever in while driving and it briefly turns off, then comes back on again.

Is there any way to adjust the linkage or lever so this does not occur?

It's not really a huge issue, but it sometimes gets annoying.

This sounds like its low brake fluid in the master cylinder not a linkage adjustment.

I had the same problem.

Go buy some brake fluid and fill your resivoir all the way to the tippy top, problem solved.

Please do not just "fill it up" and forget about it.

Find the problem first. There is a reason the brake fluid is low in the first place, be it from leaking, worn brakes, etc etc.

Find/fix the problem first, THEN fill the reservoir.

instead of tearing into the car to find a possible problem as deathcougar suggested, fill your resivoir and watch the level. If it stays the same you are fine, as with my case. But if it drops again, then you should look into fixing some sort of brake problem.
