One more try...
I aksed thisqestion bore with no response, maybe this time the right people will read it. People running BFG MTs.
I really want to know how muchmilage I could expect from a set of MTs on a Runer I know the wear chages from truck to truck, pending on weight. So I would just like to know what people with 4Runner are gettting out of these things. Also any poeple with Goodyear MTRs, it would be cool to know the same for those. I'm just doing some really earlyresearch so I can price some Mud Terrains, I really want the agressve look. Thanks in advance. |
I changed my BFG AT's at 60k miles and they still had some life left in them.
I have Goodyear MT'R's with 40k+ and they are wearing ok... but I don't think they will last through 50k miles... |

Well I just put a set of new BFG AT's on my rig so I won't be on the market fo awhile but I would like my next set to be some 33x12.50 MT or MTRs.
Why do you say not to put them on unless I'm in the mud alot? Just curious. I really want them for the aressive look, but I do ocasionally get into the mud, I'm 2WD so it's not very often but when I do get out in it I would like to have the tires working for me even if the drive line can't. I go out from time to time on trails with Land Rovers and Jeeps, I would like to be able to hold my own a little better(especally after I get my locker after tax returns). Do you think that MTs would b justified after knowing what I do get into from time to time? |
No, No...don't get the MT\R's if you plan on going through lots of mud. I experienced them myself this weekend and was wishing I had something else, maybe like a swamper ssr ;) Since you are 2wd, I'd go ahead and buy the MT\R's. I like the look of them though :hillbill:

Well I have a pick-up not a runner, but I got 50K miles out of my 1st set of 33x12.50 BFG MTs. My new set is the same BFG MTs, I love them, best tire I have ever had.
