OME springs with rancho adjustable shocks
has anyone ever done this combo, I am new to this stuff and if its totally dumb sounding don't make fun of me! If you can adjust the shock you have the best of both worlds and can set it to how ever you like and they seem to be around the same price as OME shocks. If you like a stiff ride or a soft ride all you ahve to do is adjust the shock.

i have ome springs on the way and im planning on doing the rancho 5000's
the adjustable ones are supposedly pretty nice ive never had any experience with em though you can get a similar effect by flipping the 5000's upside down. i like rancho's shocks i would reccomend them

I have OME springs on my second gen. I had ProComp ES3000 shocks (re-branded Rancho 5000s AFAIK) and my ride went to the dogs. It was horrible. I actually stopped driving it for a while. I then bought OME Nitrocharger shocks and the ride was transformed to something really nice.
Turns out the OME springs are super stiff as are those cheap shocks. Together they are a nightmare. The OME shocks are designed for the springs and thus are very soft. Together, the OME shocks and coils are great, but I would ride without any shocks before putting ProComps back in with OME coils.

I think not many people have done the the fronts since they didn't exist. I sort of remember Rancho coming out with front shocks that would fit the Taco/4runner, but, I can't remember.
As far as the rear, I think a few have done it, but, its not common. I don't remember anyone using adjustable either, it may have something to do with the 4runners needing an eye/stud combination and the correct length not being available by Rancho.
