Noisy U-Turn

Anyone know what the annoying creek and moan noise is when I make a sharp u-turn in my 93 pickup? My 84 pickup did the same thing and I believe my dads 88 runner does it too. I can not figure it out. Any hints on how to fix it would be much appreciated.

this is a pretty common problem, when your wheel is turned all the way it is against a stop bolt, which had a plastic cap from the factory, but those tend to wear through and fall off, the sound that you are hearing is the bolt rubbing your control arm, putting a little dab of grease on the bolt head will help, try a search this has been talked about before :D

yep, superjoe's on the money. a little grease on the bolts, i lube the bolts and the point of contact everytime i change the oil and lube the zerks.

I bought the bolt caps and use grease also...works great. I hate that grinding sound.

Does anyone have pics of where the caps belong and where to apply grease?
