Newbie just got a Toy! Pics.

Hey guys, nothin' special to you guys I'm sure, but it's new to me and I'm stoked. I scored this little beauty last weekend. I've been wanting a little 4 banger pickup for a long time, and I thought what's better than a Toyota!

Here's some pics.

Hopefully my server doesn't crap out on me :hillbill:

Anyway, I have tons of questions, but I'll continue to lurk and search around for a while before I start asking too many dumb newbie questions. :chair:

thats a sweet xj! is it yours too? so many nice toys!

time to start dumping out the wallet!

Klaüs 01-28-2005 08:34 AM

Hahaha, that damn XJ, it always gets all of the attention :D

Yeah, that's my "weekend rig". Crazy thing is, it has lower miles than any of my other rigs :D I also have a Grand Cherokee, with the 5.9 Magnum motor.

Thanks man.

Edit: Here's a better pic of it:

It looks funny without the roofrack, and it's off in that pic because it won't fit in my garage with the roofrack on it. I actually have two roofracks for it :D

Hahaha, you guys are awesome.

Yeah, I've been into 4wheelin' for quite sometime, and one of my best 4wheelin' buddies runs a 4Runner. He tears it up.

I very rarely get pics of him, cause he's always way out front, tearin' it up :D

Nice truck, so clean........for now.

Klaüs 01-28-2005 09:12 AM

Thanks guys.

Glad you like the Evo page Lee.

The past few weeks I've been researching a lot of Toyota stuff and oh man would I love to make this pickup a crawlin' monster. It would be soooo easy to do. Almost easier than it was to build my XJ it seems. Even the solid axle swap looked cake. As much as I would love to do that, I can't. The Toy pickup will be my daily driver, and with my 35 mile, one way commute everyday.... another built up rig just isn't an option for me.

You never know in a couple years though :D I still plan on getting some new, wider wheels for my Toy, and it's already got 31's, so it's not exactly a tiny rig. I may even toss a very small body lift on it to give it more clearance for the tires.

Theres nothing like an unmolested vehicle, Its an open canvas

kyle_22r 01-28-2005 12:29 PM

what's wrong with you guys? the dude brings home a cherry 3rd gen and you're staring at his heep! :chair:

that's a sweet rig! :bigok:

Klaüs 01-28-2005 12:42 PM

Hahaha, it's okay Kyle, it's to be expected. My XJ is pretty flashy :D

Also, you say it's a 3rd gen? I thought a '92 was a 2nd gen Toy. I could be wrong.

I see you're in Lacey. I actually bought the Toy in Puallyup. I'm in Moses Lake.

What heep?
All I noticed was the toyota.

Do I have a problem?

uboatcmndr 01-28-2005 01:00 PM

:eeek: I want one. :)

bike4miles 01-28-2005 01:02 PM

Man, that truck is in great shape! It gets harder to find 2nd gens in good condition every passing day.

YotaTruck1986 01-28-2005 01:19 PM

Wow, that has to be one of the cleanest 22REs I've ever seen! Nice truck!

it's a pretty common point of confusion since there's a lot of 4runner people here. 1st gen 4runners came out around the same time as 2nd gen 4wd trucks. for 4x4 trucks, 1st gen is '79-83, 2nd is '84-88, and 3rd is '89-95.

moses lake huh? i love going over to that area in the summer and fishing the potholes...practically grew up over there :D
