New Tires
Hi folks; I got tired of constantly trying to balance my TrXus M/T's (265/75) so I decided to change to BFG M/T's (285/75). So far I am very pleased with them - the road noise is less than the TrXus and the balancing is minimal. The only down-side is that I still think the TrXus looked a little better and the gas mileage has taken another hit due to the larger tires.
Of course the byproduct of me buying new tires is that I now have 3 complete sets of tires for sale (original Dunlops, winter 4x4 Alpins and TrXus M/T's) LOL. I will let you know about off-road performance in due course (the TrXus pulled like bloody tank tracks in the mud and slush - they were great). sweet truck. got a pic of it with the TrXus on?

nice
how much lift do you have on there |
Here are a couple pics with the TrXus. The lift is approximately 2.75 - 3 inches with the OME springs.

Thanks for the acknowledgement fellas.....I have used Yotatech as the primary resource for every step in the modification process. Thanks to you guys and this site, I now have a lot less money than I should LOL. (BTW, 914runner is correct - the flares are Bushwacker).
Attached are a few more photos. http://pics.montypics.com/homer/2006...05__small_.jpg This is the configuration I use for off-roading - I like using the camcorder to record off-road trips. http://pics.montypics.com/homer/2006...13__small_.jpg Switches for lights, lockers, compressor, etc. http://pics.montypics.com/homer/2006...09__small_.jpg |
