New Guy Here *pic Inside*

Hey guy what's up? I'm orginally from toyota-4runner.org I stop going on toyota forums because me and my dad switched cars. He took my prelude and I took his 4Runner. He needed the Prelude because his job was far.

Anyways back to my 4Runner. I have 1995 Toyota 4Runner SR5. It has 81,xxx orignal miles one it. It's a 2wd. Everything is stock except for a 12 inch kicker sub, amp, excedio head unit. My future upgrades are k&n replacement filter, sway bar bushings, rear springs (1.0" - 1.5" lift)

Here's a pic:

Nice, too bad its 2wd thou. But still nice, I like the miles too.

Keggo Aug 14, 2005 08:36 PM

I wasn't going to say anything about the non existent 4wd... heh heh oh well...

Welcome from a fellow 4x4 Wannabe

Welcome... I also was cursed with a 4x4 mind in a 4x2's body! However, I'm slowly making the change to become as close to a 4x4 as I can be. It's OK to admit what you are... there are others like yourself.

(my neighbor and I have the same truck... same year, everything! Mine just looks a little different. :great: I don't think he likes me so I had to sneak this shot in at 6:30am on the way to work. This is basically a before and after of my Runner  )

Just know what you want to do to your truck and slowly (or quickly if you're loaded) make your way there. Just a note... the hobby of "modding" your vehicle is a tad more expensive than say... golfing. But it's quite rewarding when you drive up next to a stock runner and the people's jaws drop to the floor.

Wlecome to our crew. Why don't you start off with a REALLY cheap mod... get a YotaTech.com sticker for your rig!

Very clean, low miles. Good rig to start with, minus the 4X4.

lee Aug 15, 2005 05:45 AM

wow, now that is an unused runner!

my 01 has almost as many miles (im up around 76K or so)...

welcome. :)

thnx guys! yea the previous owner who owned the 4runner didn't drive it that much. yea i know it's a 2wd but i love it. im in the city most of the time. no offroad spots around here. when i want to have fun i go to pismo beach in my dad's 2003 Chev. Silverado 1500HD Crew Cab. or i take my mom's 92' 4Runner 4x4.

by the way i have a question. are there any write-ups on doing a ground-wire upgrade for 95 4Runner? im really not familiar with toyotas. im use to working on my ol' prelude. i want to upgrade ground wires because my linterior lights are weak when my sub is on. i also plan on gettine an optima red top.

nice!

4RocRunner92 Aug 15, 2005 04:11 PM

lol I didn't get why you posted your runner until after I posted mine. Didnt mean to hijack.

Your truck looks great. I have the same one (1995). From the image, it looks like you slapped on '96 wheels. Did these just bolt on? Or did you have to do some modding. I was told that these would only fit onto a '96-00 4runner only. Is this true?
