Narrowest Tires on '03 DC Taco, 4WD , V6, auto
I am looking into what the narrowest tire that will fit on a daily driver '03 Taco DC 4WD, v6, auto. We are looking to gain some MPG by cutting down on friction loss on the highway, also the stock size has let us down in hard pack snow. Want to see what size tires on stock suspension and wheels will dig down throgh the snow to get us great winter traction.

Is that stock size
Is 245 stock size for your truck? We can get a fair amount of hard pack here in Northern New England. The Taco does not cut down to the ground hard enough with teh wide stock meats.

If your stock tires are 265/70/16, (Roughly 31 x 10.5 x 16) switch to 245/75/16 (which is 31 x 9.5 x 16). 1/2" on 4 tires will help and the 245's are cheaper to buy too.
