My truck dies when lights are turned on
HI I HAVE A f-150 1989 TRUCK. I WAS DRIVING ONE DAY AND MY HEADLIGHTS TURNED THEM SELVES OFF. ONCE I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT HOME THE TRUCK STARTED BACK UP AND I WENT TO WORK. I NORMALLY GET OFF IN THE EVENING BUT ONCE I TURN ON THE LIGHTS THE TRUCK DIES. I HAVE REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR AND THE ALTERNATOR WIRES.

Seriously, O.P., Check ALL your connections, not just the cliched "check grounds". For us Yota folks, connections should have bare, shiny metal tightly contacting bare shiny metal. |
