More tranny and diff problems

I've now been able to recreate a problem that I've had for quite a while now on my 3rd Gen auto 4runner.

when I'm cruising between 80 and 90 km/h, and quickly release my foot from the accelerator, the whole truck will shake and shudder. The tranny feels like it's having a heart attack or something.

It's only happening though between those speeds.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Also, when I put the truck into Drive or Reverse, I can here a knocking sound. Is this to be expected? I don't think so. My 90 Corolla sounds better than this 99 runner.... shesh...

Thanks!!

Kevin

Email John at IPT and tell him Chris Rademacher sent you: sales@importperformancetrans.com, and I'm sure he'll shoot you straight!

Try lubing the driveshaft, when it gets dry all kinds of bad stuff happens (knocks, shakes, bangs....).

hey Chris I'm starting to wonder if you get some sort of kick back from John. :D

I wish, but I did just get off the phone with him after he emailed to ask me some questions. He's a great guy, and I don't mind highly recommending someone that goes above and beyond what most companies and people do with customer service. He's the best in the business from what I've seen, and when I'm highly impressed, it doesn't bother me a bit to help them build their business. The opposite also holds true, which is something I'm dealing with right now with a Software development company in India that has been designing a computer program for me for quite some time. If I get screwed, I'll do everything in my power to ruin their reputation.

But, nevertheless, John is a great guy striving to take his business to the next level by offering excellent customer service, product and pricing. He's hard to beat, and now that you mention it he offered to do my wife 1993 Lexus SC400 VB for free, so that'll be my kickback if I ever get around to doing it. I thought that was an unreal reward for referring lots of people to him. He just said that tonight, which I thought was awesome!

Chris
