more bad news...

i went on my first long trip yesterday(100miles round trip) i get home pop the hood and anti-freeze all over the motor. i look on the floor im leaking oil. im at the point now that im just going crazy. i dont even care anymore.

so i bring it to the shop and the guys says to bring it to his mechanic to fix it. i do that tomorrow morning (wed).

anyone know off hand what this might be? maybe i should bring it in for the head gasket recall?

It might help if you posted what year truck you have and what engine is in said truck... :)

but, it does sound like a possible head gasket problem.

yea sorry bout that. the truck runs perfect. motor is strong shifts smooth but these under the hood problems are going to start killing this truck. should i just bring it to toyota and have them fix everything?

wow, this is the trauma that scared me when i was looking for my used runner... of course, i bought an '01 which right away makes it a safer sale. i also gave it to the mechanic i trust my life with (hes more a family friend) and the dealer had full paper history on the car up until like 3000 miles before i bought it.

sorry this is happening man.. hope you can clear it up.

3 business days. If you have to keep it, don't take it to a dealership unless it's under warranty. Find a independant garage that has to rely on their good reputation for business.
