maintnance service intervals
I'm sure this came up before but serch did not help
does anyone know the maintnance service intervals and what's done in it? |
Here's a good link for the 30K service:
http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/mainte...a_4runner_30k/ The 30K is the biggie, most of the rest is just normal oil changes, etc. Timing belt replacement is recommended at 60K intervals, as well as I think valve check/adjustment. |

I'm at 70K miles and just had an oil change. I did the major service at 60K, the service dept said I could hold out till 90k for the timing belt. |
I changed my 3.4L timing belt at 90 and 180K and both times the belt was in near-perfect condition visually. I did check it at 60 and 75K on each belt too though just to make sure. At 180K I also replaced the water pump and timing belt idler pulleys. They still seemed like they were in decent shape too, but I did it as preventive maintenance... I figure if I don't have to do those again for another 180K, that will be fine. :D
