Lifted Tacos! How long did your CV's last? Chime in!
Hey guys,
Just a question of life expectancy for CV axles when lifted. I run a 2.5" suspension lift (no diff drop, VERY well taken care of truck, complete road queen) and had my first boot tear at just over the two year mark. I know various heights will result in various angles. What say you?

3inch light, 1 inch diff drop. i have to replace mine every 2 to 3 years.. sadly i haven't been able to figure out any fix for it without swapping over to a solid front axel

They are rebuilt using toyota axles as the core, I trust em more than the auto parts store axles so far (knock on wood) no problems. As far as blown boots I have owned a lifted Tacoma since 99 and in that time I think I've been through maybe two sets of boots. I broke my first axle on the trail last year now I carry a spare. When I broke the axle I was full lock turn stuck on a bunch of rocks giving it a lot of right foot. Lesson learned.
