Hi,
My first time posting pics..hope they work.. Believe me when I tell you.. its bright.. the picture don't do it justice..... no need for instructions, just plug and play style.. just had to unscrew a few and adjust the trunk plastic panel a bit to install the clip.. be sure to ground it.. or else the light will get funky.. I'll add a couple more pics.. daytime and one pic of my front w/ skidz

Finally got to see an '06 4Runner on the way home from work today. Noticed the driver had the running lights on and as soon as I could squeeze in behind him, he applied the brakes. Ahhh, finally got to see how they'd look . Nice I must say. I'm almost ready to buy...
So am I correct in saying that these led 3rd gen tails are simply a plug and play type of setup for '02 4Runners?

They are now on the site! I've matched the ebay price, which is already too low to begin with. I try to help out when I can, and I don't know how long I can keep this price going. I stand behind what i sell, so if you order, you will have peace of mind.
96-98 LED TAILS
99-00 LED TAILS
01-02 LED TAILS
This picture does not do these tails justice. These are super bright in person, look awesome, and are high quality.

IMHO, '01-'02 tail lights look WAY better...these LED's are too much bling for a 3rd gen. They look out of proportion to the fit & finish of a dated 4runner. Maybe i'd have to see them in person?
If you have a mall-runner then great, go for it. But if you just want nicer/brighter looking tail lights, definitely spend the $200 on OEM '01-'02' tails and do the easy swap.

Woo hoo.... Ordered mine on Monday and I just received my pair of LEDs.
FYI: These are the same ones as listed on Ebay (Eagle Eyes). The box is labeled '01-'02 so I don't think it'll matter which one you order on Jasons site.

If you need any type of bulb including LEDs, this is the place to buy. I've been using them for a few years. Super fast shipping:

An FYI for you folks...
The LED's cannot be replaced if they burn out. They are sealed in the housing. I was told by a vendor that if one should burn out, the assembly will need to be sent back. They will replace the bulbs for free, but shipping is on us. I think Jason mentioned something along these lines as well.
In other words, hang on to your old lights so you can drive your truck in the event one of yours should burn out.

Dated 4Runner?
BMW outfitted the E46 3 series with LED taillights in 2003/4, the car had been out since 1998. It's a tasteful upgrade, provided these kits are of quality. I'm hoping they are, I really want to have LED taillights and HID headlights. (going to do the E46 retrofit.)

How do you figure? The LED tails are modified versions of the 01-02 tails.. All newer vehicles (most of them) are coming stock with LED tails, getting these for the 4Runner will make it looker newer, that's what I'm shooting for!
