Leaking Exhaust manifold gaskets?
Well, like the title says, I've finally narrowed down where my annoying, I'm-the-only-one-who-can-really-hear-it exhaust leak. The driver's side exhaust manifold is leaking, on the bottom side, right above the motor mount. My question is has anyone else ever seen this on a 3.4? Right now I'm contemplating what to do. Priced out full gaskets for the exhaust system, and priced out a couple of different headers, but I'm still baffled as to the fact that the manifold is leaking. I've done one or two collector gaskets where the crossover meets the down pipe, but I've never seen a 3.4 with a leaking exhaust manifold. Anyone else seen this? I understand this is the Tacoma and 4Runner section, but I figure there are many more people in this section with a 3.4 like my T100 has...

Nope--never seen it--but if you go header--Doug Thorely makes some puuurreeettyyy sweet ceramic header. Be forewarned--The take some talent to install. Peronally, i wouldnt do it without an engine hoist.

Well, that is one thing I really like about the T100. It does have considerably more room than the tacoma/4runner. I don't think headers would be a problem to install. That's one reason I was pricing them out. Your happy with your doug thorleys?
