KZN185 chassis

Does anyone know if 4 runners with KZN185 chassis # are technically acceptable for registering in Europe? or how to find out what needs to be modified ?
thanks

KZN185 Surf is the japanese-spec 3rd gen 4Runner but with the 1KZ-TE engine(3.0L SOHC turbo diesel, some are intercooled). There are lots of these in the UK, Romania, Russia, and Australia.

Roy, thanks for your reply .... but .... UK, EU, Japan etc specs are all slightly different and one spec does not meet all regulatory requirements of each market. I am trying to find out which reg's [eg emissions, brakes etc] the vehicle may be outside of for the UK otherwise the cost of modification would not make it worth keeping the vehicle [currently in Bosnia].

Actually, the ones in the UK are second hand imports from Japan. I just don't know if they made any modifications.
You might like to check out http://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk & http://www.milnerconv.co.uk.

What year model is your truck? There are also prados in there using the same engine (1KZ-TE). Europe already has the low-sulfur diesel so I'm sure emissions won't be a problem with the KZN185 (assuming that the engine is still in good condition). Brakes shouldn't be a problem either. You might like to check into the safety belts, srs air bags. Also, it would help if you can check out the host country's requirements. I believe that those info are available in the internet.
