Just installed 2" body lift - wheel spacers or not?

Let me try a better question. With SpiderTrack wheel spacers and stock 4runner wheels, can I get 33x12.5 or should I get 33x11.5?

Vote no.

Sure you may have read about or known about 3rd Gen runner lbj failures.

Wheel spacers increase the risk of these unpleasant and dangerous surprises.

An alternative is taking off the fender flares for that beast look...or getting wheels with a different offset, I forget which, positive or neg. Those were the days.

You can't run z 12" wide tire on factory rims,.. well you shouldn't, and the tire installer should advise accordingly, and it will rub on the upper control arm, if you want 12.5" wide you need to have a wider rim with a different offset, so I would vote yes to 11.5" but you may still rub and you are maxing out your factory rim width. I have the 2" body lift with sonoran steels 1.2 lift and run 9" wide rims with 33' x 12.5" x R16 no rub on a SR5 with no cutting or hammering I also have 4.30 ratio and did not re-gear. Spacers are never a good solution

Gotcha - I am going to stay with my stock wheels and run 33x11.5 and I will massage the body as needed :)
