I Have question about painting grille guard...
 

Hello all,
I thought I'd save myself some trouble, buy a black grille guard and paint it the stainless steel color. Can anyone tell me what kind of paint to use? I will be using a paint gun.

Also, if anyone has had any bad experiences doing this, please let me know.

I don't think you are going to get the "stainless" look by painting it.. I think it would just look silver if you did that.. I could be wrong though..:dunno:

yeah, i agree with slcpunk. i think it wont look right if you just painted it. but, i could be mistaken.:dunno:

Where's the grill guard.:dunno:

I was refering to a grille guard as the (somewhat) protective front end accessory, not the actual grille insert.

Basically Im going for a stainless look, to match my silver 4runner... any suggestions?

I would like to get a grill guard and paint it also. My advice is to buy it and have a body shop paint it for you. You will want a durable paint on it since it will be exposed to all the crap and bugs that are slung at your truck while driving. It shouldn't cost that much and they can match the paint on it to your truck.
