I have had my 4runner for about 6 months now and for my first project I want to get my girl a little height. It is a 2000 sr5 4wheel drive. I have 130k miles on the car and I have been reading on the forums all weekend but still don't really know the next step.

I know I want a minimum upgrade of 2" lift, nothing more cause I really can't afford any more haha. Because of how many miles I have on the car I feel like the suspension is slowing going out and the car itself bounces around over any little bump. My buddies tell me to get lifting blocks to be cheap but I don't think they will work with a sagging suspension.

I have heard Old Man Emu is the route to go but I can't find a legitimate site that looks credible and that shows what type of suspension I need. Also, I never know which kind of suspension to order. It's all stock and I am gonna replace the stock tires for something mildly larger but nothing extreme. If ANYONE can help me with suggestions or literally point me to the place to buy the correct suspension parts I would be grateful. Just remember, Complete newbie project here. Always helped my dad with his project cars but never done anything with lifting. I just need a new suspension upgrade to give it a 2" lift, so someone tell me if I just need springs or if I need shocks or If I need a combination of all those things. Help Help Help.

Quick question, will I have to order new leafs for the rear lift?
For the front I am ordering the 881 coils without the spacer (to make a 2 inch lift) and for the back do I order the 890's (3 inch) or 906 (2 inch)? Won't the additional weight drop the 890's to about 2 inches?>

pretty sure you don't have leafs in the rear...I got this lift for my 1996

Your 4Runner does not have rear leafs.

What additional weight are you talking about?

You could also look at sonoransteel.com. They have some more options.

I am trying to order it and the front set of springs make sense and say it is a two inch lift., but I don't know what numbers to order for the back cause they say three inch lift. did you put in a three inch lift for the back?

I would go with the OME 906 if you are not going to haul or tow a lot. They will give you about 2".

If you are going have extra weight go with the 890's or 891's.
