Hyperflash problem

Hi, I need some help fixing a hyperflash problem i am having in the side markers on my 98 4runner limited. I installed some led bulbs from xexonhids.com and i have a led flasher relay but bulbs are hyperflashing and i dont know what the cause of it. Are there any solutions and what might be the cause of it?

If they are HID lights, I think you may not be using LEDs. High intensity discharge lights use a lot of amperage from your batt and can tax your alternator, giving that high rate of flash. I would go back to what you had or choose a diff aftermarket product that isn't HID.

Or maybe there's something else you need to install to make it all balance out...

I would think going the LED route, there isn't a need for a relay due to the fact that they use substantially lower amps.

Checked the site...were the 2 LED controllers installed correctly?

If all you did was change the markers and the relay I’m gonna point at the relay, maybe it’s just not sensing the low load like it should, or maybe it got mixed up at some point cause they are identical.

They are LEDs because i had xexonhids.com send me replacement bulbs and they are going the replacement are doing the same thing. Right now my alternator light is on but i think its related to this problem with markers

Would you suggest i change the relay because i have the novita ep35 installed

LEDs bulbs are low voltage, your truck thinks your bulb is out due to low electrical draw, it flashes quickly telling you a bulb is out, you can buy a diode or something to trick the system, but bulbs work fine, most of mine are from 1999 and work fine still.

OP has a flasher that doesn’t sense the load like a normal flasher, the reason he is posting is he shouldn’t have hyper flash issues.

I would start there as the bulb just works or it doesn’t, I do believe auto parts stores carries flashers for leds but not sure on fitment.

Have you checked with the manufacturer or one of those audio shops that sell LEDs? See if you can find the draw of your replacement bulbs and then try to match that up with the proper relay.

What exactly did you use to fix the problem might i ask?

So i know where the problem where the problem began now. Before i had regular bulbs in my tail lights and the front marker worked perfect. Then the problem started when i installed led bulbs in my tail lights, so is there anything such as a led tail relay to replace the factory on that is in the fuse box in the engine area and if so where can i find one?
