How much methyl hydrate do I use?
I think that I've got some condensation in my fuel tank and I'm trying to figure out how much methyl hydrate to use to fix the problem. Anyone got any ideas? :dunno:

This is for marine engines Swede so I don't know if it'll help much but it does give proportions:

I thought adding seafoam into the gas tank removes water. Said so on the can? :mrc:

adding isproply alcohol or another producut called iso-heet removes water from the tank

Be careful using ispropol alcohol from the drug store. That is already pretty saturated with water and usually can not mix with much more. If you get pure stuff from an industrial supply or lab then it is good stuff to use.

good point gadget... the isopropyl i use from the regular safeway is the 99% kind.....

Here's what I'm thinking. I have a half liter of methyl hydrate that I would dump into a full tank of gas. My concern is that this may be too much and cause some harm to the engine, or is there nothing to worry about with this stuff?

Anyone?

Just go to the auto parts store and buy a bottle of "Heet". It's made for this purpose.
