Any chances these would also fit a 2nd gen? I imagine that the hood designs cant be THAT far off.

I agree. Those ball mounts allow for a good bit of misalignment and as long as the hood weighs close to the same it should be easy as pie. You'd want to make sure your attachment points are strong enough, but like you said, they should be very similar from 3rd to 2nd gen.

You best beleive it
The FJ Cruisers come with the hood lifts.

You only have to start the hood part way then the supports take over and lift it.

Get rid of the hood prop rods and go with these.
If you are an old fart like me, your back may even thank you.

For those of you asking about 2nd gens - you may want to see if Rancho still has them listed. I installed a set about 15 years ago, and they're still going strong.

BTW, I also recommend keeping the prop as a back-up for worn lifts, or big projects where you remove the hood.

soon as we figure a few things out here, Im on that.
This is correct. I'm offering these are low as I can, with no group by needed. These are only $15 over cost. The price will only go up in the future, will try to keep these prices as long as I can.

These are in stock as we speak.
