High amp Alternator? For 3rd gen???

Hello all,
I know some of you have gone with aftermarket alternators or some with a local rebuild. What I want to know is what you liked th ebest and what I should look for. As far as use goes I am installing a auxillery wire setup from Warn so that I can plug my 3000 watt power inverter in the rear of the runner.

I have a GM alternator in mine, real easy to do, real cheap. Search for "GM alternator" and you'll find it.... The casing is bigger on the GM's and you can get it much cheaper and higher amperage than a Toy alt. I got 200 amps for $210.

how easy was the install of the GM alternator?

when idling, and then i flick on some of my lights, the headlights go a little dimmer, the heat is not as strong....i think its the alternator, cuz i just replaced the battery.
