help! Rear View Mirror Loose
ok my rear view mirror shakes like crazy it is very loose. It gives me a headache just looking at it.. is there a way to tighten it.. any suggestions... It wiggles at the piece that connects the mirror to that console piece... I have a '01 limited 4runner

If the assembly itself is loose, here’s what you’ll have to do:
All the bolts that hold the mirror in place are hidden. There's a plastic piece that pops out (it’s on the console right by the mirror). Pop that piece out. I don’t remember exactly, but I think it will expose one bolt. Pop out the clear plastic (glass) from the console with a thin screwdriver. You will see on big bolt securing the console in place. Remove the bolt and slide console toward the back and down. This will expose mirror assembly, which is held in place by 3 bolts. Tighten all the bolts and reverse steps to put console back in.

thanx i fixed it... it didnt have anything to do with the screws there are two aligator mouth pieces on the sides of this medal thing and they needed to be widened so the thing holding the screw would stay in place... thanx a lot i would have never looked at that piece if it wasnt for you.... If anyone is having the same problem feel free to email me and i will help you through this process
