Help a noob. Looking for skid plate options for 97 4Runner

what are there for options. I am looking at moving from the Jeep Wrangler world to the yota world and after looking underneath a 4Runner, the underside is all kinds of exposed..

budbuilt has some sweet underside protection. budbuilt.com

TJ_Shunk 02-13-2007 11:04 AM

Is there really only one maker of this type of underbody protection?

Bighead 02-13-2007 11:19 AM

There aren't many options out there for 3d Gen 4Runner skidplates...at least not as many as you may be used to in the Jeep world. The only other one I can think of is from Offroad Solutions

If you know someone who can weld, have them make you some plates. That's what I'm doing. Find a design you like and make it work to fit your truck.

Trailmaster makes a skid

Skid Row also has one

But BudBuilt is what I bought. It's bomber.

TJ_Shunk 02-14-2007 07:36 AM

Most of those are only front skids for the Front IFS box. I was more worried about the underbody

Crux 02-14-2007 10:26 AM

BudBuilt makes a bellypan skid too

and hes working on a gas tank skid as well.

That Trailmaster skid is for their 6" lift.

Everybody loves Budbuilts's skids.
