Help mounting non stock fog lights to look stock 2001 4runner

My 2001 4 runner did not come with fog lights and I have purchased after market fog lights. I was wondering if any has experiencing in mounting fog lights in the stock cut outs in the bumper. I checked the tech section and did not see any information. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

check to see if the foglight kit u purchased comes with it's own mounting brackets. Most do.

I mounted some Hella driving lights on mine. I had to enlarge the holes in the bumper and fab up some custom brackets to mount them. I tried to get some shots of the brackets but it's a bit wet to be lying on the ground here. This is how they look from the front

My lights fit in the opening but the issue is the brackets that come with the kit are small. They are designed to fit in small areas. If you get a chance I would like to see how you mounted them. I am in no rush to install these. Thanks.

Finally got some pics of the brackets and mounting location. I mounted the brackets to 2 bolts that attach the lower valance to the bumper, one above the turn signal and one at the corner. You can see the rusty nuts in this fuzzy pic

Here's some shots of the brackets with the light attached

And here's one with the light installed on the truck

One day I'll have to figure out how to post smaller pictures.

Edit, now the pics are too small, I hate computers :bang:

kool, looks like how I made mine. Used flat hurricane straps from the hardware, cut, fit and used some nuts bolts and washers.

Or you could put in some Piaas in the lower valence like I did....
