I am on the phone with them right now. Just a minute...

Here's some beef...

"Do you guys dyno the filters, before and after?"

G: Yes.

"What kind of results have you seen?"

G: Usually 5HP on a vehicle like yours. We see about a 15HP on diesels [not sure why he told me that].

"What's the price on a drop-in filter for a 96 Runner 3.4?"

G: MSRP- $79.93, Dealer-$63.95, part #2036

Nope but their website needs some help! ;)

Pirate, are you thinking bout buying it and letting us know how it turns out? You'd be the first on the block. :)

Yeah, their site sucks. I was forced to call them due to inactive links, and timeouts.

The phone rang 20 times before they picked up. Its the little things, ya know?

I say it's just a green colored K&N, with a higher price tag. But they claim that their cotton gauze is woven lighter and tighter than the "other high flow filters". I don't think that makes me feel any better about buying it. Just my .02.

Good timing...just when we're gearing up for The Incredible Hulk!

I had one of their drop in filters in my Impreza for a while. Made the motor a bit louder. But my butt dyno didn't notice too much of a difference...

Not a big fan of cotton guaze filters. If it's tighter woven than K&N it won't breath as well. If it's not, it's not it only filters as well as a K&N (crappy) and it costs more. *MAYBE* it has more surface area than the K&N because of their framing, but open cell foam is just far far superior to cotton, in terms of pore size, surface porosity, and filtering depth...

Now if only Amsoil would make a 2nd Gen filter.

Bob,
I was thinking about it but wasn't sure. I use the oem filter now and was trying to decide on a new rechargeable filter and came accross the green filter while checking the price for the K&N drop in on the PepBoys web site. Before I dropped the cash for the green filter I wanted to see if anyone else used it or liked it. Maybe I will be the first on the block to try it.

By the way, if you are just looking for the tech specs on it, their UK site is alot better, just doesn't have all of our vehicles in the UK database.
