green brake fluid?

this morning i decided to bleed my brakes because they've been feeling squishy (and it feels like i have no back brakes). the fluid that came out was green? i've never seen that before. does anyone know if that's bad and what would cause that? also, the beeding didn't improve the feel of the brakes or the fact that it feels like i'm only stopping with the front. i bled the LSPV and made sure that it was adjusted right since i installed add-a-leafs, and that's all ok. does anyone have any ideas on other things to look at? (pads and shoes are still good)

thanks!

there are differnt colors of brake fluid... i have some ate racing brake fluid that is called super blue.....

if it was normal, its highly possible that it absorbed jsut basic crap from the air, as brake fluid does this a lot, thats why it does ocassionally need to be flushed

Your brake master cylinder may be going out.

i have a ford ranger, and the same prob happened to it, and the master cylinder went out of it, as for the fluid colors is concern, someone might have put a racing fluid in it???? who knows

Are you sure the rear drum brakes are adjusted correctly? If not, that would give you a 'soft' pedal.

How's your vacuum source to the booster? Booster itself okay? Loosing any fluid?
