i was just wondering what kind of mpgs you guys are getting for a 1st gen pickup

i have a 1985 pickup with a downey header, flowmaster muffler, 5 speed, 22re and i am getting 15mpg all around driving. i got 255 on my last tank and it ran until empty, fuel gauge does not work.

FWIW, you have a 2nd gen pickup ('84-'88). I used to get ~17mpg long ago with 22R and 33's.

With my old 87 22RE 4Runner with 250K miles, I was getting about 20mpg with 31's. On the stock 235/75/15s I'd get 22ish. I kinda miss that.

I'm getting 16-18 mpg in my 1st gen. Kinda disappointing to me. I'm working on squeezing more out of it.

Oh yeah, I'm running 31s and stock everything else.
