Front shock removal on a 96 tacoma extra cab 2wd

Hi,

I can't seem to find anything at all on Youtube...
I have a 96 2wd tacoma with coil assisted front shocks.
I need to replace them and was hoping someone could walk me through the process.
I keep being referred to strut articles that don't help.

Thanks in advance.

On your truck you just unbolt the shocks and drop them out the bottom.

Now if your in the Salt belt getting the top nut off can be a real pain most times I end up cutting mine off.

Hi,

One way or another, even though I stuck my head under there and looked, twice....., my brain said, "There is a large cross-bolt on the bottom of the shock, requiring removal of the coil spring etc."

Thanks for responding.
It's the easiest, dumbest procedure ever.

I'm going to go punish my brain with a case of beer.
I'll show him.
