Factory Tire Replacement?

I have 265/70R16 Wrangler RT/S in my 02 4Runner now. If I put the 265/75R16 BFG Mud Terrains when I replace the tires without a lift, will it rub?

Also what brand tires do you recommend?

Thank You!!!!

I have Mickey Thompson Baja Belts 265/75/16 on stock rims. No rubbing. If you would like to see a pic go to http://www.hboss.net/cgi-bin/readers...&type=standard it is the 4th one down from the top a green 4runner. I hope this helps.

I've got BFG MTs and love them. Mine is a '91 so I'm not sure if they will rub on yours or not, but I think they'll fit fine.

I went to discount tire yesterday looking, looking into the bfg a/t's, and I asked the guy if 265/75/16 will rub on a 96 4runner and he looked it up in his little computer and said no.

I don't have much experience with tires, but it depends on what kind of terrain you'll be driving on most. I'm going with the bfg a/t ko's because I like the aggressive look, and it has good tread life on pavement but also good traction off-road.

I ran 265/75/16 BFG AT and MT on my 2000 4Runner and never even came close to rubbing. Well, the MT's went on after the lift, but the AT's were on at stock height, no prob.

Thanks for all the responses. I'm opting for the BFG MTs. I have wheeled with WA TTORA members when I still had my 95 Tacoma and when I still had the weekends free and I was amazed with the BFG MTs, I had the BFG AT kos and I was also pleased with them. Although they picked up plenty of rocks, they were good tires. They did well on snow but i think they just like any tire slipped a little on ice. I'm gonna try out the MTs. Thanks for the input.
