Engine Swap HELP!
 

Hi. I have a 1995 Toyota Tacoma and just purchased a 2000 tacoma engine for it. My question is what problems will I encounter during this swap? Also, has anybody else done this swap or similar swap? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

ewww that's a good one! Welcome to Yotatech BTW. I am not sure if there is anyone on here that has done that kinda swap. I have limited knowledge of the 3.4 but I am sure there are people on here that can help you out. Good Luck! Wish I had a 2000 Taco engine to drop in my 94 Runner!:eek:

Thanks. I guess I should have been more specific. I have a 1995 Toyota Tacoma with a 2.7 litre 4-cyl engine. The motor I have to put in it is also a 2.7 litre 4-cyl but its from a 2000 Tacoma.

I heard that the 95 and newer tacomas do not have a distributor? Is this true?

Will I need the computer from the 2000? What about all the sensors? Ahhhhhh!:(

Anybody else?

I'm curious if you ever found the answer on the 2.7 swap. I'm planning on swapping a 98 distributorless engine into my new ly purchased 96 that has a distributor.
