E-Locker's --- Who has them?
How many people here actually have E-locker's?
Every thread I have seen says to get a 4Runner that has one, but I have yet to see a 4Runner for sale with an E-locker, and I'm wondering how many people actually have them.

Alot of classifieds fail to acknowledge they have a locker and you usually have to inquire about it since they aren't that uncommon since the average owner either doesn't know about it or has never used it.
I have one in my Runner and so does my mom in her '99 Limited.

I have one in my 98 Limited. I had to ask if it had one, and describe the button and location of the button to the seller over the phone. Then when I got up to Detroit to look at it, he asked me what it did.

Most 96-02 limited might or might not actually have an e-locker, but the limiteds are the ones they usually come with.
On a side note, the general poplutaion of soccer moms and office dads that drive 4runners, dont even know they have it or even know what it does.
Thus being said, if you see a limited 4sale, might take a look at it and see if it has the RRdiff lock button to the left of the steering column

Mine has one!
Same with the lockers on the land cruisers. Most people don't even list them cause they have no clue what it is. I've called many o people (when looking for a land cruiser with my buddy) and they are like "Oh, that dial thing with RR and FR Lock on it?"

99 limited and have the e-locker. Best thing to do is ask if there is a button with orange lettering to the left of the steering wheel. That way they dont up the price. When I was looking at mine I asked for a picture of the driver side door area. Sometimes in the pics you cant see the button but you can usually see the locker instr. on the panel.

My 2000 SR5 has it....I special ordered it in April of 1999 and did not get it until September....First 2000 off the boat I am told.
Then the bad thing happened. In 2005 a driver cut me off and stopped to turn at a red light. I swerved to miss them and spun around going backwards into oncoming traffic and hit the curb snapping off the rear axle shaft (it had just rained when this happened). The other driver took off! The police found the vehicle was a honda crv lease vehicle and Honda would not release the owners name without some special order that the Arlington police would not do since no one was hurt...
Next time I will just plow the person into oblivion instead of swerving. I would have trashed that plastic CRV!
SOOOO, I am on my second E-Locker. Actually they put my 3rd member in the rear end I have now because it was a "reconditioned" one...but it was rather noisy. Just noticed this week that it is leaking from the right seal. Oh well, I demanded that State Farm give me a lifetime warranty on this rear end since they insisted on used parts.

I kind of have one, it's in a used axle I just bought that's currently sitting in my garage. Doesn't help much offroad at the moment but it will be installed soon.

my taco has one one of the best things about the truck. even after super heating the entire rear end and blowing it to pieces the e-locker still works like the day i got the truck.
