id try local lock smith for re-keying.

my tacoma is starting to do the same thing every now and then.

my honda was doing the same, right after the alarm quit and i had to use the key for entry. i went and bought the cheepest keyless entry i could find, works great, but obviously you need existing electric locks, and for the price you mine as well get an alarm too!

i thought about getting a keyless entry/alarm setup. the factory one took a crap on me bout 2 years ago, i ive just been unlocking manually since then.

Have you tried lubricating the cylinder?

Most auto parts stores have lock cylinder lube on the shelf.

Couple of squirts works wonders.
