Door Lock actuator MOTOR
I am planning to change out the motors in my actuators ('01 Taco) and am wondering from those who have done the job... which motor(s) did you buy? It appears that there are myriad mini DC motors. Long shaft/Short shaft, Flat/Round, Brass collar etc.

Curious why your changing all the lock actuators. I know I was having trouble adding a FOB to a 99 4R, replaced the battery and cleaned up all the connections on the Alt, Fuse box, grounds and battery terminals. Got it to work first try afterwards, mind you I did have the battery charger on it as well, had the charger on it before cleaning everything up. still wouldn't actuate the locks smooth enough to take the new FOB.

Lock actuator looks like this but without all the stuff attached, one side
other side

My symptoms where that a couple of the lock buttons would jump but couldn't unlock or lock, and it was somewhat heat-related as to how well they would work. There are other things that can cause similar issues.

Thanks for confirming my similar issue...heat related, especially out here in Az. Seems the passenger rear doesn't work normally when it's over 100 deg. Now all I need is a part no. to order the replacement.
