Donate your old rear shocks to a worthy cause!

Namely me...'97 runner 4x4. This is about as low as it gets, but i figured as many wheelers we have here that someone must have an old set of OEM/factory or equivelent rear shocks gathering dust somewhere. Particlulary since I seem to be the only one left who is lift-impaired! So long as they aren't leaking, I'm sure I could get another several k's out of them. I'll gladly pay the shipping cost and throw in a little extra for a 6pack! Anyone want to help a poboy out? Thanks!!!

If not, I'm looking at those Gabriels from Autozone for about $30/ea...anyone have any experience with them, and if so, which ones? This is strictly a DD so I don't need anything special...

Dang, how pathetic can you get, huh?!?!

man, those things suck!! I bought them for a temporary raplacement untill I lifted my truck and they are the worst shocks Ive felt on a 4Runner. Very harsh and will rust out in less than a year. If you can afford the gabriels you can afford skyjackers or pro comps. I just ordered some skyjacker hydro's from summit for 32 dollars each.

SUMMIT HAS EDELBROCK IAS SHOCKS ON CLEARANCE FOR $19.99 Part number is EDL-20141 . Just type it in the search and it will bring them up. http://summitracing.com/

A lotta times if you go to a dealer and ask one of the service guys if they have any stock shocks laying around they will just give them to you, all they do is throw em away anyway. If you know somebody at the dealer that'd be ideal but if not, most of them are pretty good about that. I did that for a few small things I needed and they just handed em over.

that's a great suggestion! Maybe I'll give the skyjackers a try...
thanks again all!

Justinh - don't bother man, thanks though...at 100k I'd probably be better off just going w/ something new to make it worth the labor, huh? I was hoping someone might have a set with 20, 30, 40k or so that upgraded recently and didn't need them anymore...Yotatech rocks!!!
