direct hits spark plug things

saw an ad for these in a magazine. the site is just directhits.com they claim its an add on that multiplies power for a better spark to burn off everything for better combustion and therefore more power. the graph shows a 10% increase in hp on a chevy...(companies' graphs are always unbiased and accurate) :nerd:
so just wondering if anyone has used/is using this and if theyre any good? 250 bucks is a little steep but if it someones got good results, then its worth a try.

that'd be interesting if it works...wouldn't get them unless someone can verify a significant increase in HP. keep us posted.

From what I understand by other times a sparkplug thread comes up is that NGK's or Denso is what works best for our 3.4 engines without much headaches. Take it for what it's worth.

Back in early October 2003, I talked to the owner, saw the product, did a bunch of research and found people that swear by them.

I ordered a set, didn't hear anything from them for 4 weeks, poked around for status and Lou wrote me to say that he couldn't get OEM boots. I said "no probs, just keep me in the loop", and I let my order sit... At the end of January 2004 (4 months from placing the order), I asked for a refund, which Lou gave me very promptly.

In April 2004 I wrote to see if anything had changed, I didn't get an answer back, so I spent the money on a PlasmaBooster and have been very happy ever since.

A former 4Runner owner by the name of Ron S had a website dedicated to his 4Runner. He did a review on the DirectHits [roduct and basically said they were junk.

You are only going to find more HP/torque when the OEM ignition doesn't work well.
In this case most have come to the conclusion this is not the case on the 3.4L.

The place where the PlasmaBooster helped me is that with the longer duration/ringing spark, I could back off on the timing retard required for the S/C.

Once I deal with the tranny slip, I'll head back to the dyno. This is on my list of on/off things to get numbers on.
