Detroit Locker finally installed!!
After looking at my locker on the floor of my office for the last 3 months, I finally have it installed. I have only driven home from work in it.
I understand why you need to coast around corners now. If you accelerate it acts like a spool. I am excited to try it in the dirt! I will post after its first test. :bounce: |
Congratulations....you must have a very strong sense of self-restraint....I dunno anyone who could have saw that locker everyday for 3 mths and not resisted its calling to be installed.
If you don't mind, could you provide a breakdown of the costs that were associated w/ your locker mod? Have fun with it... :bigok: |
Costs for my locker--
detroit soft locker= $405.00 from Randy's R&P master install kit= $125.00 from Randy's R&P Installation and design for my soon to be sliders $100.00 from a friend of mine. Just powerbraking was exciting tonight! |
its great to see the look on ppls faces when you peel out w/ 33s! :hillbill:
hey sorry to be off topic but, do you think your friend would be wiling to make another set of sliders? i was thinking about getting the all pros soon but im not sure. |
We will be designing/building them over the next couple of weeks. If they come out nice I will see if he will make more.:welder:
|
:bounce: Congrats on the new mod. You'll be amazed at the difference it'll make in the dirt.:D
|
I drove it around town today and could barely tell the difference. It does make the inside tire chirp around corners if I stay on the gas, and I hear it engage when truck is put in gear.
Hopefully I will be able to try it next weekend in the dirt. |
thanx:bigok: keep me updated.
