Dana 44 4Runner (99) -VS- Tundra Coil 4Runner (96)
The Dana 44 is 1" higher than the TRD Tundra coils and top out spacer on the 1996 4Runner. Both trucks have a 1" BL and the same Yokohama 315/75/16 tires. Both trucks have front ARB's and Rear E-Lockers.
I guess you don't have to build a monster truck to run a SA. The CTM U-Joints are here and the Superior Evolution Series axles are en route, after all isn't pure strength really the only reason to SAS?
Here is the trail test, I have some fender/bumper trimming to do, the axle still has a bit to go before hitting the bump stops on full stuff. A Spring under has all it's travel upward, where as a spring over typically has all it's travel in droop.
Not a ramp champ or a floppy jalopy, but it's going to be extremely strong.

Why does this stuff always get moved to the Fab Shop when I don't even give a shred of Fab Advice ???
It was just to show the "average" guy you can do a low SAS.

Outstanding.
The only way I'll get a solid axle is by buying a truck that already has it...
[Off-topic] Is the other 4Runner running 5.29s or 4.88s? [/Off-topic]

Looks like a good rig for a prick. I think I have seen that pic before though.
The only reason to hang a solid axle is for travel. The reason IFS sucks is because you need lots of vertical wheel travel to wheel. Too bad you wasted your time putting gears and a locker in that truck, all you really need is the axle.
Can I ramp your truck when I get a monster truck?

So when is the "bolt-on" 3rd Gen SAS kit coming out? I wish I would have waited, then I could go back to stock and sell it.
