Crank bolt
can you use the starter trick to break the crank bolt loose on a 5VZ like you do on a 22RE?
|
Yes you can.
You still need a holder to torque it down properly though. |
I fabricated a pulley holding tool last year in order to do the timing belt, etc. on my 4Runner. It's about 3' long and has two pins that engage holes in the crank pulley. Worked perfect to loosen & tighten the crank bolt.
You're welcome to borrow it - I'm in Ellicott City. :) https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.yot...0fc1884ce7.jpg Andreas |

412-389-1974 Nice to meet you today. Hopefully my bush-league welding holds up when you bring the crank bolt to torque. :) Andreas |
